We started VC Home because we kept noticing a gap. There was plenty of glossy content about homes in general, but not much that felt genuinely rooted in this county — in Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, and every neighborhood in between.
We wanted a magazine where you could flip to a feature on a contractor and actually recognize the street they worked on. Where the real estate coverage reflects what the local market really looks like — not some national average. Where the designer on page 12 might be the same person who helped your neighbor redo their kitchen last spring.
